Thank you to WBR Foundation for Academic Excellence and Placid Refining Company LLC Refinery for hosting the 2024 Golf Tournament at the Island Golf Course. An amazing turnout again this year. Our OMEGA team in Louisiana had a great time!
Recently, we encountered a beehive on our premises. In collaboration with expert beekeepers, we relocated the bees to a safe environment to preserve their pollination work and ensure the safety of our staff.

Our HR department has enjoyed an enriching visit to the Fundación Juan XXIII , an organization that GRUPO CUÑADO has been collaborating with for several years, and that is dedicated to promoting the social and labor inclusion of people in psychosocial vulnerability. Their amazing social work, in which they surpass themselves day by day, shows us the importance of inclusion, reinforcing the commitment of our corporate social responsibility.

In Grupo Cuñado we are committed to energy saving and efficiency, and for this reason, we have renewed the lighting of the Distribution and Quality areas in our headquarters in Alcalá de Henares. This change has improved the visual comfort of our workers, reducing up to 75% of the consumption, minimizing the generation of hazardous waste, since we stopped generating used fluorescent tubes that contain mercury, and the useful life of the LED panels installed is much longer than the fluorescent tubes.
With these measures we comply with our Environmental Policy, in which we are committed to pollution prevention and environmental protection.
A few days ago, our colleagues from Grupo Cuñado Zaragoza and Vector Valves held a theoretical and practical workshop on valves. They reviewed the main standards applicable to valves such as API 598, API 6D, ASME B16.34, Review Certificates, Interpretation of an ITP, etc..
In addition, during their visit to the factory, they were able to see the assembly of some valves, including control valves, and how hydrostatic and functional tests were carried out.
It was a great day of training, essential for our staff to meet the most demanding needs of our customers in valve projects.
Following the tradition ongoing in our headquarters in Madrid, Cunado USA has started its seasonal breakfasts. Our team at ITF in Houston and OMEGA in Louisiana enjoyed a Spring breakfast. Happy Spring!
Grupo Cuñado Bolivia has carried out training in the production of Galvanized Steel Pipe under ASTM A530/A530M – 18 “Standard Specification for General Requirements for Specialized Carbon and Alloy Steel Pipe” and ASTM A53/A53M – 22 “Standard Specification for Pipe, Steel, Black and Hot-Dipped, Zinc-Coated, Welded and Seamless”. This initiative is part of the administrative contract “Acquisition of Galvanized Steel Pipe – Management 2024” with YPFB Redes de Gas, demonstrating our commitment to continuous improvement and quality in every step of our process.

Last week our Sales, Purchasing and Project Execution teams held a training session on pneumatic actuators and associated instrumentation with our partner Rotork at our headquarters in Madrid, with the aim of gaining a better understanding of the equipment we supply to our customers from a technical and manufacturing process perspective.
Today, we have once again enjoyed the initiative of our HR Department: the Seasonal Breakfasts.
Celebrating the arrival of spring, we have shared with our colleagues a menu full of healthy and delicious options, strengthening the bonds between us and promoting a positive and collaborative work environment, resuming later our activity with renewed energy!
