Cuñado Canada
CUÑADO CANADA supplied in 2001, through our Integral Supply System, the necessary pipes, fittings and valves for the construction of the Canada’s first Purified Terephthalic Acid (PTA) plant in Montreal. The plant belongs to lnterquisa Canada, a subsidiary of CEPSA (Madrid, Spain), in collaboration with Societee Generale de Financement de Quebec (SGF).
The plant has a production capacity of 500,000 metric tons of PTA annually. PTA is a resin used in the production of plastics for the manufacture of textile fibres, plastic bottles, wires, etc. The Engineering and Construction of the plant was awarded by Interquisa to the SNC Lavalin – Dragados Industrial Joint Venture.
Since then, CUÑADO CANADA has successfully supplied many projects in Canada, meeting the highest standards demanded by customers of all industrial sectors, specially mining, chemical, petrochemicals and gas processing plants.
Proof of this is the supply made to numerous projects such as Bitumen Upgrading Facilities of the Horizont company (oil sands operator in Alberta), or the 50 units of Light Ends Recovery, together with the 60 units of the Sulfur processing for the first phase of the North West Redwater Sturgeon Refinery in Alberta.
We have also taken part in the supplies made for the LNG Input and Regasification Terminal of Canaport LNG in Saint John, New Brunswick, or the oil sands of mining project of Fort Hills Energy L.P. in Athabasca, Alberta.
We also supplied the equipment for the hydrogen peroxide plant of the Arkema company in Bécancour, Quebec through the construction company Moreau.
