This week, GRUPO CUÑADO has honored our colleague José Antonio Pomares, manager of our Cartagena branch, for his recent retirement. Since he was 17, he has carried out his everyday work with a great deal of commitment, absolute professionalism and dedication. GRUPO CUÑADO will be always his home and we wish our “Tato” the best in his well-earned retirement.

GRUPO CUÑADO – CUNADO GROUP USA was proud to be a part of the 16th annual KBR, Inc. Charity Golf Tournament on October 24th.
KBR announced that it raised over $1 million dollars, eclipsing the tournament’s previous record, set last year, by more than a quarter of a million dollars. Our team served food and drinks to all participants at our Hospitality Tent on the Marsh Course Hole #1. We also had a team playing in the tournament.
We received the Michelin Award for most outstanding food served on the Marsh Course. One of the most acclaimed was the Peach cobbler, with a special recipe from one of our Senior Account Managers, Keith Goar. Congrats!!!

Last Saturday, our Zaragoza branch enjoyed a great Family Day on the banks of the Huerva River, where they organized a tasty meal, together with funny games for the little ones, as well as a dessert contest for the adults, which finished in a draw! Before, the little ones visited our facilities and knew where their parents work. They liked it so much, they took the control!!

After its cancellation in 2021 due to the pandemic, the 43rd edition of the San Gabriel School Cross Country Race was held again this Sunday, March 27th with the GRUPO CUÑADO – CUNADO GROUP sponsorship, that once again supported an amazing day of sport, education and health, strengthening our social commitment 🙂

After 31 Years of working in our USA Branch in Houston, Jenny Skadden has decided to retire and move to Seattle to be with her daughter and grandchildren.
Janie was part of the early years of GRUPO CUNADO USA and worked directly with Mr. Carlos Cuñado, President of our Group. She will be greatly missed by all.
Mr. Cuñado sent a heart-felt note that was read during the dinner celebrating her retirement, as well a momentum which was a GRUPO CUNADO bronze key, representing that Janie will always have the key to her GRUPO CUNADO Family.
Congratulations Janie, and enjoy your grandkids, and if you ever want a break from them, you can come to Houston for a few weeks, and help us at the office. Happy Retirement!
