During this week, a student of Year 10 is visiting our headquarters in Alcalá de Henares, with the aim of getting to know the modus operandi of a company like Grupo Cuñado. Visiting our HR, Marketing, Purchasing, Logistics, Project management, among other departments… we hope to give him an overview of our company and thus help him before he makes a decision regarding his academic and professional future. And once again, continuing our social work, we supported last Saturday an amazing day of sport, education and health, by sponsoring the XLV Cross of the San Gabriel School in Alcalá de Henares, the city where our headquarters are located. This is one of the most traditional races of the Alcala season, which started as a school cross and is now a competition for all ages, where many of our employees have run at least once. This year’s large turnout, with a total of 1,253 participants, was also able to enjoy the presence of the Transmissions Battalion of the Military Emergency Unit (BTUME)
On Sunday, January 28th, Cuñado USA Houston office held an event to celebrate our Families, and to thank them for all their support. Without our Families, we would not be able to celebrate the successful 60+ plus years of our existence.
At this event, we had the honor to have Mr. Carlos D. Cuñado, President of Cuñado Group, and his wife Azucena. Mr. Cuñado spent close to 10 years in the USA managing the USA and our companies in the Americas. From Houston, he led the international expansion of our Group. During these years, Mr. Cuñado, who is an avid sports fan, fell in love with Baseball and of course, his favorite team is the Houston Astros.
Houston employees and families surprised Mr. Cuñado with an autograph jersey of possibly the most famous Astros of all time, Pitcher Nolan Ryan. This was a token of our appreciation for all his support, as well as the commemoration of the 60th Anniversary of GRUPO CUÑADO – CUNADO GROUP.
This week we have assisted to the meeting between companies and a selection of young talents from Madrid who have had the opportunity to receive specialised training thanks to the Madrid Foreign Trade Technicians Programme (TCEs), organised by the Cámara de Comercio, Industria y Servicios de Madrid and the Comunidad de Madrid. These young people have spent a year of internships in strategic international markets in the main Spanish organisations that support the internationalisation of companies. Thank you for promoting young talent!
In our participation in Trends Universidad Camilo José Cela Employment Forum Edition I, we had the opportunity to connect with young students in their final year. Thank you UCJC, for promoting young talent!!
Cuñado Zaragoza pays tribute to Mr. Máximo Cuñado, founder of GRUPO CUÑADO, and thanks Carlos David Cuñado, our current President, for his 60 years of dedication – “We want our family to grow daily, strengthening us as the great company we are”.
This tribute to six decades of dedication was materialized by planting this olive tree at the entrance of Cuñado Zaragoza’s warehouse. –”We wish that future generations take care of it with the same affection we have planted it”
