Last Friday, GRUPO CUÑADO team enjoyed an amazing BBQ, having a friendly and relaxed time with our colleagues.
We are proud to inform you that Mr. Carlos D. Cuñado, President of GRUPO CUÑADO, has been one of the representatives of some Spanish companies located in Texas, that have accompanied their Majesties the Kings of Spain at the work meeting that took place in San Antonio, during their official visit to the United States.
The work of GRUPO CUÑADO has been recognized in the I LOGISTICS AND TRANSPORTATION AWARDS for its International Development in the Oil & Gas industry. The Awards were given yesterday by the Spanish Secretary of State of Infrastructure, Transport and Housing, Mr. Julio Gómez-Pomar in the headquarters of the newspaper LA RAZON in Madrid. They want to recognize and reward companies that, thanks to their work and effort, have become world leaders. In the photo, our CEO, Ms. Gloria Esteban Baturone, with the other laureates.
Last week, personnel from GRUPO CUÑADO headquarters in Spain visited FLABOFORM, our subsidiary facilities in Waghäusel (Germany), to share some working days with their German counterparts and thus exchange the best of each team. These days, they have shared experiences, providing their colleagues with feedback, which has motivated them to do their best every day, and to work as part of a single team.
On April 17th, GRUPO CUÑADO received the visit in our facilities of our partner KSB, who made a technical training to our inside and outside technical sales team, focusing on the full range of GLOBE VALVES and BELLOW GLOBE VALVES, being GRUPO CUÑADO their official distributor. We are also the official KSB distributor for the entire range of DIAPHRAGM KSB-SISTO valves. From GRUPO CUÑADO, we want to thank the Spanish KSB team and the Product Managers arrived from Germany, all of whom have moved to our facilities to support us in this initiative.
GRUPO CUNADO has received the Dubai Award from ALFA LAVAL, that encouraged us with these rewarding words: “This award is a recognition for dedication, efforts and enthusiasm of GRUPO CUÑADO team, that every day brings great results and satisfaction to customers” We, at ALFA LAVAL, are very proud to recognize GRUPO CUNADO as an example to follow and proud to export this successful case to other countries”. GRUPO CUÑADO is pleased to announce that we have joined the INSTITUTO DE LA EMPRESA FAMILIAR as a new partner, with the aim of contributing to the defense and promotion of the family business, as well as raising awareness of the economic and social importance in the Spanish business fabric . The INSTITUTO DE LA EMPRESA FAMILIAR is a state non-profit organization, which brings together a hundred leading family companies in their sectors of activity, generating wealth and employment.
On February 22nd and 23rd, GRUPO CUÑADO was visited by students of the Postgraduate program “Master in International Business”, taught by the Next IBS Business School. They had the chance of putting into practice the skills acquired during the course. Presentations were made by Mr. Jose Redondo, Project Manager, Mr. Kepa Arteta, who deepened in Projects Logistics, and Eduardo Bengoa, Supply Chain Manager. Students also visited our warehouse, witnessing on site its daily activity.
GRUPO CUÑADO continues our social work, supporting an amazing day of sports, health and education by sponsoring the 40th edition of SAN GABRIEL School Cross Country Race, in Alcalá de Henares, where GRUPO CUÑADO headquarters are located. This is one of the most traditional races of the regional season, that began as a School Cross Country and now it is a very popular competition for all ages, where many of our employees have ever run.
