Between the 21-25 september, it took place the 32^nd PERUMIN Edition, one of the most important worldwide conventions in the mining sector, in the city of Arequipa, in southern Perú. The event gathered the most important worldwide suppliers in the mining industry, calling together more than 850 stands of local and international suppliers, as well as more than 5.000 participants. High-level conferences were held in which they were presented topics related to the future of minery in Perú,  progress of the most significants projects, extensions and the latest in technology and logistics in the sector, among other topics.

Cuñado Group was present, once again; in this important mining convention with and excellent stand, in which attended all his sector clients;  discuss with suppliers and showed its whole supply portfolio to the thousands of people who attented the event. Cuñado Group was represented with by a delegation of more than 10 staff of the companies CUPERSA, RAGENSA and GRATING; as well as hedquarters staff presence.

Grupo Cuñado has been appointed as Alfa Laval Master Distributor for Spain and Portugal, for markets such as the food, pharmaceutical and biotechnological industries. The agreement includes new equipment and after-sales service.

With this contract, Grupo Cuñado maintains its strategy of growth by expanding the company’s product range, and improving its customer support service.

Grupo Cuñado received the Recognition for Internationalisation award by Santander Advance and Moneda Unica last April 16th 2015, during the 13th Edition of the IMEX Fair. This prize acknowledges the exporting effort made by companies and institutions, and encourages us to further develop our international growth.

The Minister of Employment and Social Security, Ms. Fátima Báñez, visits our headquarters in Alcala de Henares, in tribute to the founder of Grupo Cuñado, for his recent concession of the Gold Medal of Merit in the workplace. In the visit also participated the Mayor of the city of Alcala de Henares, Mr. Javier Bello, as well as he President of AEDHE, Mr. Jesús Martín and the Secretary General of the organization, Ms. Pilar Fernandez.

MEDAL OF MERIT

The founder of Grupo Cuñado, Mr. Máximo Cuñado, received on November the 4^th 2014 the Gold Medal for Merit in the workplace, approved unanimously by the council of ministers extraordinary session. The award was presented by the Deputy Prime Minister Ms. Soraya Saenz de Santamaría, along with the Minister of Employment and Social Security, Ms. Fátima Báñez. The medal was awarded by the King on the proposal of minister. The emotional ceremony was held in the main lounge of the National Library. The awardee was accompanied at the ceremony, by his son the current president of Grupo Cuñado, Mr. Carlos David Cuñado, his wife CEO of Grupo Cuñado, Mrs. Gloria Esteban Baturone and their daughter, Ms. Vivian Cuñado Esteban. Surrounded at all times by counselors of Grupo Cuñado, Mr. Angel Luis Barranco and Mr. Antonio Galán. The Minister of Employment and Social Security, praised the “courage and effort” of Mr. Máximo, that “knew and wanted to go international” and recalled that at the age of 19 he moved to Madrid to make a future and founded in 1963 Grupo Cuñado.
